South Tyrol is fading out quarantene measurements. The official South Tyrolean tourism portal lists the most important safety precautions. Including social distancing of two meters outdoors. Whilst indoors cloth face coverings are mandatory enabeling a reduced safety distance.
With only a few exceptions, all businesses have been reopened since May 11th. From May 25th onwards the accommodations will also be happy to host you. Bus, train and also certain cable cars such as the Rittner Bahn will work normally again. Covid-19 infections  are monitored by an expert commission that if necessary will recommend further measures.
The booking of accommodations is possible from May 25th onwards. Italy unlocks its borders on July 3rd. EU, swiss and uk citizens may then enter and leave the country without having to go into quarantene for two weeks afterwards.  Austria, for example, plans to open its borders with Germany from June 15th. Vacation trips from Germany to Italy are still uncertain, completely open borders are expected by June 14th. Top politicians  are currently negotiating, as ST is one of the major holiday destinations.
We as city guides of Bolzano are well prepared for these new challenges. From May 25th on onwards we will offer guided tours in very small groups, considering all safety measures. We have a lot to show and tell you!   Bolzano May 18th.
